JK Rowling’s considers writing 8th ‘Wizard’ book
British author JK Rowling’s seventh Harry Potter book perhaps may not be the last we read of the teenage wizard. Rowling has hinted she may write another book about the boy wizard in the future. The seventh book in the hugely popular series, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, was released worldwide on July 21st. Rowlings refuses to rule out a return to the Potter franchise giving hope to millions of Potter fans.
“I’m not going to say ‘never’ because ‘never’ in my life acts as a red rag to bull and I’ve immediately wanted to do whatever it is I said ‘never’.”
While Rowling is tempted to revisit the world of Hogwarts just one more time, the story may not be built around Harry Potter. Rowlings is quoted as saying,
“There have been times since finishing, some weak moments, when I’ve said, ‘Yeah, all right’, to an eighth novel. “But if – and it’s a big if – I ever write an eighth book about the wizarding world, I doubt Harry would be the central character.”
Rowling has also mentioned she may consider writing a prequel to the Potter books, but worries it would be a critical flop, like the Star Wars prequels.
