Jennifer Love Hewitt has confirmed that she has recently been offered a pictorial in Playboy, following the series of photo’s that recently circulated of the actress in a bikini on a beach in Hawaii.

Hewitt came under fire from gossip bloggers such as myself and tabloids who claimed the actress, who is a slim size two, was putting on the pounds.  She responded via her website, slamming the critics and stating, “Like all women out there should, I love my body.” But apparently inspite of that love she doesn’t want to share.

US magazine In Touch reported that the ‘Ghost Whisperer’ star was offered the Playboy shoot, but Hewitt had turned it down.

Her representative confirmed to E! News that she’d been contacted by the mens magazine, saying “Jennifer was offered Playboy, and she did turn it down.”

It’s unclear whether Playboy wanted Hewitt for a full spread or if she was tapped for a more modest photo shoot, but now the newly engaged actress has joined the ranks of Jessica Alba, Nelly Furtado, Ashlee Simpson, Christina Aguilera and Katherine Heigl, all of whom reportedly turned down big money to play Playmate.
