Boyfriend of Jamie Lynn Spears could face statutory rape charges but it’s unikely to happen

Jamie Lynn Spears’s lover, Casey Aldridge could actually face statutory rape charges that carry a maximum penalty of 10 years behind bars after getting her pregnant at the age of 16.
Assuming Casey Aldridge, 19, is the father and the baby was conceived in Spears’s home state of Louisiana, the act could technically be considered “felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile” - defined as “sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17″.
Apparently in Louisiana a person can only legally consent to sex at age 17. If aged 15 or 16, the other person involved must be no more than two years older for the act to be considered legal.
If the act took place is California, where Spears lives most of the time whiles on the set of her TV show, Aldridge wouldn’t fare much better.
“It states clearly in the Californian Penal Code that any person who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor (under 18) who is not more than three years older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is guilty of a misdemeanour and faces up to one year in a county jail,” criminal defence attorney Jim Hammer said.
“But if Aldridge is actually more than three years older he could be up for a felony, which carries a maximum three years in prison.”
Even so Lawyer Christopher Darden said charges were unlikely.
“The father of the child may have committed a criminal offence or misdemeanour by having unlawful sex with a minor,” he said.
“But unless the complaint is filed from the minor’s parent, it is unlikely that this will be taken further.”
It appears Jamie Lynn’s parents particularly mom Lynne Spears is making the best of this situation speaking kindly of Casey so it looks like pressing charges is very unlikely for now.
Meanwhile and I mention this with great skepticism but Life & Style is claiming they have an inside source that says Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge, are not seeing each other!
“Jamie Lynn and Casey are NOT together. They’ve broken up numerous times, but he was her first and she kept taking him back,” says the insider.
“They’re not dating now. He’s really got nothing to offer this baby. He’s a kid himself. They have no plans to get married.”
“At this point, Jamie Lynn has asked her mom — and not Casey — to be in the delivery room with her.”
If this were somehow really true, then who knows, the Spears family could turn around and press charges?

its true to some extent. the u.s is messed up with how they enfource its laws. the justice system, turns a blind eye to the celeb world. he should be arrested, and i’d stand in front of a judge and jurry and say it too!!! its not the point if she said yes or no, its the fact that he got her pregnant, and hes 19 years old….hes an adult, shes 16 and a minor. if her parents had any sence that god gave them, they would press charges against him.
basically the justice system is sayin hey its ok, shes a celeb…her sister is a celeb…we wont do any thing like that because its giving us a bad name…. what about the younger generation who is looking at her and sayin, hey sex is alright, i wont get in any trouble…. its giving the idea that its ok for young women to be taken advantage of by older men. it dont matter if you are american, canadian, mexican…etc…black,white,orange,or purple…. ITS NOT RIGHT!
ITA with the PP! Its NOT right that this boy will get away with it, and nothing will ever be done to him because JL is a celeb. Its SICK that the celebs get off as easily as they did. Maybe if celebs were punished the way that “normal” folks are, they wouldn’t do the crimes that they do. Paris Hilton spending time in jail, was probably the best thing that ever happened to her!!!
Its sick that a 17 yr old boy had to give up his entire future over a freaking blow job, where as this Casey won’t have anything done to him and he got the girl pregnant!!! Makes me sick.
