Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant!

Britney’s little sister, sixteen-year-old, high school junior, Jamie Lynn Spears is apparently pregnant.
The pregnancy was acknowledged in a statement released Tuesday by Nickelodeon, which carries the Spears-starring sitcom Zoey 101.
“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation,” the network said in response to reports about a possible Spears sibling pregnancy. “We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”
The father to be is reported to be Casey Aldridge (pictured above), who Jamie has been dating for some time and first met at church.
OK! Magazine has a six pages interview, which hits stands tomorrow, and is reportedly on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother, Lynne Spears, grandmother to be for the third time.
I am biting my tongue right now as I think this story speaks for itself and the upbringing of the Spears family. Still I look forward to your comments!

So not fair to say she’s “ruined her life”.. Not all teen pregnancies turn out bad. Granted, I was almost 20 when I had my son, but he in no way ruined my life. He *is* my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
That being said, I think it’s sad that she’s probably going to be a better mother than Brittney…
it is fair to say shes ruined her life…. shes 16!!!! shes a teenager!!! it is bad, when your 16, having a baby, and then when your baby is at home crying for mommy, mommy thinks its ok to be a teen again. and i highly doubt she’ll be a better parent then britney.. britney is in that boat, tryin to play “make up for lost time” and you just watch, jaime-lynn will be doing it. this is the biggest mistake she can make now. oh im all in love…blah blah blah…. her bf is 19, u think hes gonna stick around with a 16 yr old and a baby?!? yeah he “loves you now, until he finds out how much you will change and how hard life really is!

HUGE difference between being 20 and being 16. At 16 a person is in HIGH SCHOOL!!! At 20 a person is graduated from hs and possibly going on for college, which realistically can wait or be drawn out due to a child. HIGH SCHOOL CAN’T!!! She may not have “Ruined” her life, but a baby will sure as heck put a huge damper on it.
IMO she’s a little young to be having a baby. I shudder at the thought that in 11 short years this could be MY daughter. Sex is becoming too casual in our younger generations. I don’t think a role model for young girls such as this should be so casual about having sex, getting pregnant and keeping the baby. It should be put across as more of a not ok thing, rather than an “Ah well, its ok” type thing.
What is the age of consent and how old was she when she actually found out she was preggo?

Jamie Lynn was born in April so she was 16 as she still is now.
According to CNN this is what they say about the Lousianna Laws:
“In Louisiana, where Spears lives, it is a misdemeanor for someone age 17 to 19 to have consensual sex with someone age 15 to 17 if the difference between their ages is more than two years”

So really depending on how far into 18 or 19 (I’ve heard both) he is, there might be a problem.
Hi, i consider myselfe not a britney fansatic but somhow maybe a “fan” there is so many other girls getting pregnant at that age or even urlier, why make this such a huge deal??? Everybody keeps on seen the spears mistakes and they dont see their own… it takes a lot of courage to be an actress and those kids as we all know dont really live theire childood we admire those who are so mature at theire age and we gossip our mouth out just because one of them get pregnant i know many young mothers that are better mothers than some 30 year olds its not the age what makes a good mother be a good mother its there actions please before now u start all getting crazy about what ive wrote think about it and then go ahead and write all u want agains me her or who ever just first look behind youre familys background and find out if youre mother grand mother grate grandmother or else didnt get pregnant at that age or younger…

This is CRAZY. She used to be this girl that every little girl probably looked up to and now she is turning into her sister. I loved her show and i just love the way she acted because she was a good person to look up tp. I really hope she can get her act together!!!!!!!!

A married executive at Nickelodeon is the REAL father of Jamie Lynn’s baby. The legal and publicity consequences of this are enormous! It is being kept very hush-hush in the hopes that Casey Aldridge would take the fall - but he is too smart for that - and dumped Jamie…
