Amy Winehouse was arrested Monday in London in connection with an alleged plan to obstruct justice in a criminal case against her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
The troubled star was first implicated a bribery plot involving her jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil on Sunday.
The arrest is connected to a witness-tampering charge against Amy’s husband Fielder-Civil, 25, who is accused of assaulting a barman in June. Fielder-Civil is awaiting trial and iss currently being held on remand at London’s Pentonville Prison after he attempted to bribe his accuser in his trial for grievous bodily harm. Blake and Michael Brown are alleged to have assaulted barman James King, but in addition Fielder-Civil  stands accused of trying to buy off the barman with cash said to be about $400,000 and a free holiday.  Winehouse was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after voluntarily turning herself into police in Shoreditch, east London, for questioning. The arrest comes after police confiscated her mobile phone records, bank details and computer software, which could provide evidence of the star’s alleged involvement in the plot. Last week police also visited the Amy’s accountants, the prestigious London-based firm Smallfield Cody, in an attempt to track all of her financial dealings.
Winehouse was also obligated to give fingerprints and a saliva swab to police. “Any person arrested is required to give both DNA and fingerprints,” says the spokeswoman.
