Survivor China Finale: Of course Todd won

Todd Herzog (left most), a longtime fan of “Survivor,” won the CBS reality show’s $1 million prize after 39 days of plotting and scheming. While Todd absolutely deserved to win it was baffling that his alliance team didn’t recognize his control of the game and vote him out prior to his getting into the finals.
“I wasn’t the strongest. I wasn’t the smartest,” Herzog said during the finale. “But I was definitely the most strategic.”
And that was the show in a nutshell. None of his competitors seemed to muster any strategic vision when it came down to the end. And in the end Herzog, The 22-year-old flight attendant from Pleasant Grove, Utah, bested his “Survivor: China” allies Courtney Yates (pictured above next to Todd), a 26-year-old waitress from New York, and Amanda Kimmel (pictured top right), a 23-year-old hiking guide and former beauty queen from Los Angeles.
Herzog won the 15th edition of “Survivor” with four votes against Yates’ two and Kimmel’s one. He’s the youngest winner in the show’s history.
Denise Martin, a 40-year-old lunch lady from Douglas, Mass. was faithful to the end in her alliance with Herzog, even though her Fourth-place finish seemed inevitable without her fliiping her vote. Even so Denise came out with some cash as “Survivor” host Jeff Probst announced that “Survivor” executive producer Mark Burnett would give $50,000 to Martin, who said she lost her job as a lunch lady as a result of being on the show.
Muscular grave-digger, James Clement, who possessed but didn’t use either of the game’s two Hidden Immunity Idols was also taken in by Herzog. Jeff Probst called that move the “biggest blunder in the history of this game.”
Despite his misstep, gravedigger Clement was selected by viewers as most popular winning him $100,000 from Sprint.
Also for those that followed and didn’t catch the reunion Jaime and Erik are now dating, and Erik is still a virgin.
