Baby Spice Emma Bunton on crutches

Just seven performances into the group’s reunion tour, Spice Girl Emma Bunton took a tumble onstage at the Mandalay Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday twisting her ankle. The incident which happened during the last US date on their gruelling reunion tour, has sparked fears that Emma won’t be able to perform back home in London. Bunton has been on crutches and in a cast ever since, and had to be assisted onto the newly-christened Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 jet – named Spice One – at LAX on Wednesday bound for London.
But Bunton insists the injury won’t stop her from taking the stage for the band’s first U.K. date on Saturday Dec. 15th at the capital’s 02 Arena.
She says, “Last night I had a tumble on stage and unfortunately I have sprained my ankle, so I’m hobbling around on crutches! I’m sure to make a speedy recovery and see you all at the O2.” A spokesperson for the star confirms the injury is “not too serious” and reassured fans “all will be well” for Saturday’s concert.
Em still joined the rest of the band to unveil a new plane – which has been named after them. So now you can take a ride in the Virgin Atlantic jet Spice One.
The girls said: “It’s fantastic to have a plane named in our honour.”
