Led Zeppelin brings a whole lotta love to their fans in concert

When Led Zeppelin took the stage last night it was for the most eagerly anticipated rock concert in years; a 90-minute set at London’s O2 arena in front of 20,000 screaming fans who were lucky enough to get their hand on tickets that went for £125+. The one-off gig was played in memory of their late friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun who died in December 2006.
The band wowed the audience with a 90-minute set with renditions of classic hits including Black Dog, Stairway To Heaven and Whole Lotta Love in a set which lasted over two hours. Zeppelin also sparked rumours of a new album after unveiling a previously unheard track called ‘For Your Life’.
And now Led Zeppelin’s triumphant reunion has only made fans desperate for a full blown tour.

Stars in the crowd, who included Kate Moss, Priscilla and Lisa-Marie Presley, Jeff Beck, the Gallagher brothers, Mick Jagger, Steve Winwood and Marilyn Manson, Paul McCartney with Rosanna Arquette were all on hand for the landmark event.

The buildup surrounding the legendary group’s first show together for 19 years had made this concert the most eagerly anticipated gig in years. Encores of “Whole Lotta Love” and “Rock And Roll” brought the evening to a close sending 20,000 fans home deliriously happy.
