The New York Daily News celebrity ‘stupid’ list
Most beautiful list, least attractive list, if something works it gets copied. Now we have the smartest and dumbest entertainers. In response to Entertainment Weekly naming the smartest celebrities in Hollywood, The New York Daily News has put their ‘dumb’ celebrity list together.
Entertainment Weekly proclaimed “Knocked Up” creator Judd Apatow as its smartest celebrity with other stars such as Steven Spielberg, Will Smith and Meryl Streep also making the list. EW based its list off of “book smarts and street smarts, financial genius and emotional intelligence.”
The Daily News qualified that ‘dumb’ not only mean low IQ but that other factors must also be taken into account including “poor life choices, style slipups and mishaps under the influence.”
Lohan got first prize for her “poor movie choices, delinquent behavior and bad taste in men.” Lohan shares her “dumbest” honor with stars such as , Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson and David Hasselhoff. And yes Britney did make the list, verifying some semblence of this list’s credibility.
New York Daily News’ List of Dumbest People in Hollywood
1. Lindsay Lohan – poor movie choices (“I Know Who Killed Me”), delinquent behavior and bad taste in men.
2. Kim Kardashian – because it is sad when you leak your sex tape and nobody cares.
3. Spencer Pratt – who thinks his life on MTV’s “The Hills” is reality – and believes we think so, too.
4. Jeff Kwatinetz – the man that gave the OK for Britney Spears’ disastrous MTV Video Music Awards performance.
5. Shia LaBeouf – the 21-year-old “Transformers” star, for getting arrested while refusing to leave a Walgreens pharmacy.
6. Heidi Montag, reality television star
7. Jessica Simpson, singer
8 . Kiefer Sutherland, actor, recurring drunk driver
9. Tori Spelling, former teen actress/daughter of a media mogul
10. Rumer Willis, daughter of two famous people
11. Nick Hogan, son of pro wrestler
12. Courtney Love, aging rock chick, disaster
13. J.R. Rotem, music producer and possible Britney Spears baby daddy
14. Britney Spears, pop star, train wreck
15. Brad Garrett, comedian, paparazzi hater
16. Ken Paves, celebrity hairdresser, hanger-on
17. Jennifer Love Hewitt, actress
18. Brad Womack, indecisive Bachelor
19. Michael Jackson, former singer, mess
20. Cash Warren, celebrity boyfriend
I could nitpick this list all day but my biggest curiousity is why Cash Warren made the list. Normal looking guy has Jessica Alba for a girlfriend and that makes him dumb? I always considered Jennifer Love Hewitt to be a pretty smart cookie, I guess she lost style points in the ‘I am not fat’ flap (no pun intended?).
I agree with your Hot Momma! Jennifer Love Hewitt, I’ve never considered dumb….and I disagree with the Cash Warren being on the list….but sadly most of them I agree with! Jessica Simpson should be higher on that darn list though. The Macy’s commercials she’s been doing make her look like the biggest idiot in the world and to allow them to protray her as such an idiot makes her pretty stupid in my book.

It’s a shame that there wasn’t an explanation for each of the celebs on the list because I think they have some ‘splain in’ to do. I generally think these lists are stupid but I may start one sometime to see who people do and don’t want to hear more about.

I think Britney should be at the top of the list, hands down! I also agree that Cash Warren, Jennifer Love-Hewitt AND Tori Spelling shouldn’t be on there! Yes, they should have had explanations for all of them, not just the obvious ones (Courtney Love, Michael Jackson, Spears, Lohan, etc).
ok well ummmm….. they need good explanations if there goona put them on here!!!
