Nicole & Joel Charity - Shower 100 Moms with Baby Gifts Nicole & Joel Charity - Shower 100 Moms with Baby Gifts

Pregnant Nicole Richie and her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte hosted a surprise baby shower party for 100 surprised, expectant and new mums in a Los Angeles Free Clinic in Hollywood.
The couple launched the charity foundation, which will be named after their first child they are expecting next year.
The charity will be handing over free baby equipment, cots and toys to  young and struggling single mothers.

They handed out more than $200,000 worth of gifts at the launch on Monday.
“The looks on their faces were priceless,” Richie told reporters after the shower. “Some of them didn’t even believe us [when they saw the gifts]. They thought we were joking.”
Madden tells People magazine, “We want our child to be a part of the community, and to know that there’s a responsibility to help the community.
“Sometimes people don’t want to believe that me and Nicole are just a young couple having a baby and we’re really excited. We don’t really get to share our lives with people. It’s nice to connect with people on a real level.”
