Duran Duran’s collaboration with Justin Timberlake on ‘Red Carpet Massacre’

When Duran Duran released Red Carpet Massacre their 12th album, last month they got some help from new chums Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. Justin’s participation was a bit of a surprise though. When Justin Timberlake requested to work with his childhood heroes, DURAN DURAN star Simon Le Bon was thilled but skeptical that their collective busy schedules would allow them to collaborate any time soon. And then suddenly there was Justin at the studio ready to record a song with the band.
The chart-topping solo star Timberlake found a gap in his schedule and he jumped right in to help write, produce and perform Nite-Runner with the British veterans.
Le Bon says, “Justin told us his favourite song was Ordinary World when he was 14. He said he’d like to work with us, and we said, ‘Yeah, great.’ But knowing his and our schedules, we never dreamt anything would come out of it so soon.”
