Dave Chappelle sure can carry-on

Comedian Dave Chappelle is brillant, edgey, thought provoking, and sometimes the dude is just weird. The 34-year-old funnyman returned to his old stomping grounds at Hollywood’s Laugh Factory Sunday and did a stand-up session for six hours and 12 minutes.   Think about it, that is like 3 plus full length movies worth of time and material.
The  previous Laugh Factory best was timed at six hours and seven minutes back in April (07), also by Chappelle breaking Dane Cooks record.
But apparently this was a pre-emptive strike because Dave is determined to keep his record from rival Dane Cook who is alleged to be planning on trying to take it back.  Cook’s record of three hours and 50 minutes broke the 2 hours, 41 minutes record set by Richard Pryor in 1980.  This all seems like a weird ’Far Side’ cartoon that should be titled ‘when clowns go crazy’.
