Val Kilmer apparently doesn’t like big crowds except maybe to see his movies. A source told the NY Post the action hunk (lately more like chunk) was sitting with a gal pal on a couch at Lydia Hearst’s Puma Bag bash at the Thompson Hotel when it suddenly became very crowded. “He was saying he couldn’t take it. It looked like he was going crazy. When his girlfriend went to the bathroom he just up and left,” said the spy. Kilmer’s lady friend walked around the party for 15 minutes looking for him. Kilmer’s rep said he doesn’t have any issue with crowds, he just “leaves when he wants to leave.” Way to spin that story. So Val is not claustrophobic, he is just inconsiderate?
Val Kilmer’s next known appearance will be in “Comanche Moon,” a new six-hour mini-series based on the book by Larry McMurtry, and the final chapter in the “Lonesome Dove” saga to be made into a movie, to be broadcast starting Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008.
