For Ellen DeGeneres the show goes on

Many in the TV/Movie profession like Rebecca Romijn (pictured) have supported The Writers Guild, of America,  knowing where their bread is buttered. Meanwhile Ellen DeGeneres has crossed the picket line. She stood with the studio, and not with the writers. Ellen continued the taping of her talk show. She said that she owed it to her audience to give her best even in this time of difficulty for the writers. Ellen said that although she loved her writers, she had to entertain her fans who have traveled the distance to be with her.  She paid tribute to her writers by honoring them in a short speech. Ellen is not the only talk show host to continue TV production.  Several other reality TV shows have justified their “no writers” script as the reason for them to carry on their show business in spite of the writers’ strike.
