Mickey Rourke arrested for DUI on a Scooter
Actor Mickey Rourke who ironically starred in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man is in a Miami jail after being arrested for driving under the influence while riding a Vespa scooter erratically in Miami Beach.
Miami Beach police stopped Rourke at 4:11 a.m. on Washington Avenue after he made a U-turn on a red light then drove “weaving from the left lane to the right lane several times and then down the center of the roadway.” The star – real name Philip Andre Rourke Jr. – had just left a Miami Beach nightclub with an unnamed woman and was driving a green 2007 Vespa scooter .
The police officer stated that Rourke got off the scooter after being stopped and stated, “What the (expletive) did I do?” before saying, “I’m not drunk, I didn’t even drink that much.”
He had a flushed face and bloodshot, watery eyes and his speech was slurred. The report also says his breath smelled of alcohol.
Rourke allegedly failed field-sobriety tests before being taken to headquarters. He also failed an alcohol breath test.
A Miami-Dade County jail spokeswoman says he’s being held on $1,000 bond, but is in the process of posting bail.
