Most the reviews I have seen are pretty consistant:
“their new songs sound a lot like their old songs”
“The Backstreet Boys haven’t changed — we have”
“they are more thoroughly bland and cheesy than ever”
Inspite of the quotes, I get the impression from the reviews though that if you are a fan you might really enjoy “Unbreakable”
Jessica Simpson and Owen Wilson spent Sunday evening on what is claimed to be their first date, according to the UK Daily Mail. Observers at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica saw them arrive separately and chat for over an hour before leaving.
Speculation is the two decided to meet up after hanging out at Willie Nelson’s Oct. 16 video shoot at his Austin-area ranch, where they took part in the Bad Boy Lawnmower race with the likes of Woody Harrelson and Owen’s brother Luke, who co-stars with Simpson in the rumored-to-be-heading-straight-to-DVD “Blonde Ambition.”
The rendezvous comes days after Jessica was reported to be dating “Employee of the Month” co-star Dax Shepard. Meanwhile Owen has recently been spending quality time with ex-girlfriend burlesque dancer Carolina Cerisola, and rumored to be feeling optimistic about reuniting with ex Kate Hudson. Finally to complete the love triangle the NY Daily News, Kate Hudson and her boyfriend Dax Shepard officially called it quits recently.
These are rather mundane pictures of Sienna Miller compared to earlier nude scenes that were a rage on the internet. The comedy is an account of counterculturalist Richard Neville’s misadventures in London at the end of the 1960s. Hippie Hippie Shake also stars Cillian Murphy and Max Minghella (director Anthony Minghella’s son).
On the gossip front, Sienna Miller’s latest love, Rhys Ifans has asked her to marry him five times! Sienna has constantly denied she is dating Rhys, despite the pair frequently being pictured together. Apparently she isn’t taking their romance real seriously, while the ‘Notting Hill’ actor is “infatuated” with her and desperate for them to wed. (5 proposals I guess so) Sounds like Rhys is trying a little to hard and heading for heartbreak sooner than later.
What a great halloween outfit, right? Well no it’s for a special photo shoot by acclaimed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. Rachel, who is seen with a blue and white bird resting on her hand while she befriends animals of the forest, said: “I’m a woman now, but it doesn’t matter what age you are, I think you always want to be Snow White.

Some strange goings on this Halloween. Apparently Ashley Olsen has a new, much older man. According to the NY Post page six: The 21-year-old twin showed up to the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel Monday night with Lance Armstrong, 36. A bar spy said, “They came together with a group of friends. Ashley drank red wine, sat on his lap and they were making out all night. They left together around 2 a.m.” Armstrong has been spending more time in town since he bought a home here. Another source said, “He tried to make Tory Burch’s (his last girlfriend), happy when they were dating by buying a place here, but she couldn’t deal with him not actually living in the same city, so they broke up.” Ashley had previously been linked romantically to a Columbia University quarterback and actor Jared Leto.
Actor Hugh Laurie’s intensity on the screen is not all acting. In an interview this weekend Hugh revealed how he agonizes with each moment of shooting his show and the long hours and distance it put’s between him and his family.
“House” TV star Hugh Laurie returned to work this week after taking an unplanned trip home to his native England for undisclosed family issues. Last week, Hugh, told producers he had to leave the L.A. set, immediately taking an afternoon flight to London, where his wife, Jo, and their three children, Charlie, Bill and Rebecca, reside. At the time, a show rep said that “Hugh had family obligations in England to attend to, but production is continuing in his absence.”
But in a revealing interview in Sunday’s Sydney Daily Telegraph, the Emmy-nominated star — who recently became one of the highest paid actors on TV, earning more than $300,000 an episode — admitted he is battling “mild depression” and continues to see a therapist periodically.
Not only does he miss his family (Laurie maintains a home in L.A., while they live in London), but he also said he was “drained” by the show’s overnight success and the 14-hour, five-days-a-week demands of the job. “I’m always thinking about the show,” he told the paper. “I’m too neurotic and too anal and too convinced that we’re going to fail to relax. Every show we do, every scene we shoot, is a disaster, I’m convinced of it. “I go home at the end of the day and my head is full of all the mistakes I’ve made. “I beat myself up about what I’ve stuffed up the day before,” he added. “I’m looking for things to go wrong. I’m not rejoicing or lying back and enjoying it.”
The veteran singer had been awaiting a lung transplant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I am not going to repeat his bio here as I am sure you will see many news stories celebrating his life and mourning his death. I just want to leave a small post here paying tribute and my respects to a special man.
Jennifer Lopez’s latest album, “Brave”, has sold a measly 53 000 copies in its first week of release. Adding to the misery, J.Lo’s expensive tastes have made her record label, Epic, despair. Her video cost $300 000, and her album took $60 000. J. Lo’s makeup alone costs $8000 per day. Rumor has it that Epic may dump her. Is it time for some damage control?
JLO’s outfits are pretty expensive too, especially now. Designer Robert Cavalli asked what types of clothing he designs for his celebrity clients, he told PEOPLE exclusively on Tuesday, “Well Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby. (well we all knew but that makes it official)
“It is so complicated because every week she is getting bigger,” added the designer, speaking from his celebration promoting Roberto Cavalli Vodka at his New York showroom.
