Mag Lady: Paris Hilton In Russian Cosmo
Posted on March 9th, 2007 by EllenFun fact: Most magazines you read share their content with their overseas cousins — so Spanish Cosmo will probably have the same cover interview as your American Cosmo, if a few months later (and translated, obviously). But if there was an issue of Cosmo stateside with Paris Hilton on it, I missed it…

In case you were wondering, the white lettering on the left side under “Cosmopolitan” is how you would write “Paris Hilton” in Russian. There’s no H in the Russian language, so usually to spell out foreign names with Hs you use either the letter X (which makes a hard H sound) or the letter that makes a G sound. This is often hilarious for non-Russians — as in, seeing books on the street that read “Garry Potter.”
