Radcliffe got rave reviews for “jumping in at the deep end” in his role as an emotionally disturbed teenager who hurts horses. Here’s what London’s Daily Mail newspaper had to say: “What was striking was the emergence of young Dan Radcliffe in the artistic raw, tested as an actor and found equal to the stretching role.”

I’m going to assume it’s something legal… because who over the age of 16 would be stupid enough to get high in public? Elvis. Wayne Newton. Michael Jackson? Sources say the self-proclaimed King of Pop is living in Las Vegas now, recording a new album and mulling over offers to have his own nightly show. He’s still not appearing on “American Idol,” but he may circle the drain where stardom goes to slowly fade away.
Myself, I think it’s too soon! He should stay out of the headlines for ten years, and then come back and do it. The people who remember him most fondly (coming of age in the ’70s and ’80s) will be older and have more money to blow on it come, oh, 2017. As long as he doesn’t get any more plastic surgery…

Singer James Blunt better figure out some alternate means of transportation. The “You’re Beautiful” crooner is under investigation for his alleged participation in a hit-and-run Saturday night in Los Angeles. An eyewitness claims Blunt was leaving a party with girlfriend Petra Nemcova when he ran over a man’s leg — and kept driving. Blunt blames the paparazzi for the accident.
Nevertheless, Blunt is hardly the only celebrity implicated in a hit and run. ’90s R&B sensation Brandy faces two separate lawsuits over an alleged crash that killed an LA woman, and Paris Hilton has a mile-long driving record that includes hitting parked cars and not leaving a note. Naughty, naughty!
