No Oscar Noms For Beyonce, “Dreamgirls” Misses Best Picture

It’s too bad Beyonce is probably already up in the UK where she’s promotiong “Dreamgirls,” because the starlet missed out on a best actress nod and the musical will not be competing for Best Picture. Oh, the bitterness! Here she is last night in Britain — her last happy night before the soul searching begins. (The Best Picture contenders are “Letters from Iwo Jima,” “Little Miss Sunshine,” “The Departed,” “Babel” and “The Queen.”) “Dreamgirls” picked up the most nominations over all, followed by “Babel.”
