Renee Zellweger So Over Eating, Talking About Eating

Renee Zellweger doesn’t want to talk about her weight, because “It’s boring — and it sends wrong messages.” Wrong messages, like the fact that you often look great in your movies and terrifying on the red carpet? You all look at these pictures — the first from the Globes, and the second from her most recent film “Miss Potter” — and tell me she doesn’t look better.

I actually agree with Renee on the charge that too much attention is paid to how much she weighs and not much on her acting chops. But she encourages it by wearing things that make her look like Skeletor. She looks better because Beatrix Potter totally ate scones and cream every day, and still had a nice life. On the carpet she has that Ellen Pompeo, “I’ve forgotten what food tastes like” grimace.
