How much does it cost to build the best school in the world?
$40 million, well at least that’s how much Oprah spent on her new girls school that opened today.
“I was a poor girl who grew up with my grandmother, like so many of these girls, with no water and electricity,” she said.
She also promised to make the academy the “best school in the world” and to continue her support of the girls so they could attend any university in the world. She added that she’s building a home for herself on the campus so she can be close to the students.
“I love these girls with every part of my being. I didn’t know you could feel this way about other people’s children,” she said.

i love that she’s making a school for needy children, but geez those uniforms need some work!
I would like to get in contact with Oprah and let her know about my program. I think that it would be great if i could contact people that live in her world and could some how come up with about 50 million dollars for a program that i work for. I keep playing the lotto to no eval. I would use the lottery money to build this new complex/school
This woman needs to get her priorities organized. Building a cheep, one-village school would cost about 10000 dollars or something. She’s spending 40 million on one school that doesn’t contain much more children! That’s, what, four hundred schools that she uses for one group of “outstanding” children? *shakes head*
