And last nights winners are…

Posted on November 3rd, 2006 by rizzle

Here’s a few quick highlights from the Latin Grammy Awards and the MTV Europe Awards, both of which took place last night…

Shakira takes home 4 awards at the Latin Grammy’s for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Album

Ricky Martin was honored as the Latin Grammy’s Man of the Year for his campaign against trafficking in prostituted children.

Justin Timberlake hosted the MTV Europe Awards and won Best Pop and Best Male Artist awards.

Kanye West wins Best Hip-Hop.  But couldn’t go home without making a fuss.  Apparently he wasn’t happy about losing the Best Video Award…in fact he made a pretty big stink about it.  I guess not surprising coming from Kanye and his past on-stage temper tantrums.  Kanye got on stage and had this to say,

“F*ck dis! (My video) cost a million dollars, Pamela Anderson was in it, I was jumping across canyons and sh*t!  If I don’t win, the awards show loses credibility.  Nothing against you (J&S), but hell man.”

What a big freakin’ baby.  And since when did Best Video Award = most money spent or Pamela Anderson guest appearance????  That’s a new one Kanye, nice try.

Shakira is gorgeous! I’m glad she had such a good win. :)

What, does Kanye expect to win every category he’s nominated in? What a sore loser.
