Another one bites the dust…

After rumors of a fight earlier this year, it appears that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe are separating. TMZ.com received a statement from the couple’s rep reading:
“We are saddened to announce that Reese & Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time.”
According to the TMZ article Reese has already met with a lawyer (same one who rep’d Jennifer Aniston, Roseanne, and Lisa Marie Presley) but formal papers haven’t been filed yet. It’s sad but these days is there hope for ANY celebrity marriage?

Wow, that’s really sad news. They are such a cute couple and have 2 adorable children.
that makes me really sad, and going through a divorce myself, as a normal person, with a normal marriage, over 9 yrs and 2 kids later, i’m sad to say, i dont think any celebrity marriages could last, when even regular marriages cant.
Wow, they were a couple i definitely did not expect to split. I really wish the best for both of them and maybe they will work things out.
They always remind me of Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. I thought they’d be around for the long haul. I’m SO heartbroken!
