I Am Happy To Report…..

I am thrilled to report that the Mexican Federal Court has granted an order to stop the case against Duane “Dog” Chapman, his son Leland Chapman, and his brother Tim Chapman. At least for now. They want to gather more evidence and witness testimony.
I think that they are putting it “on hold” because they realize that they have ticked of everyone from the American government to fans of the Dog to people that don’t even watch his show “Dog The Bounty Hunter” on A&E. But that is just my opinion.
Here is a quick background of the story for those of you that don’t know what happened.
Dog, Leland, and Tim travelled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to arrest Andrew Luster on June 18, 2003. Luster, serial rapist and the heir to the Max Factor, fled the States and hid in Mexico during his trial. He was convicted of 86 counts of rape and sentenced to 124 years in prison. Dog and his team tracked Luster and captured him. The Mexican authorities then arrested Dog and his team because bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. They were released on bail and they returned to the states. Based on legal council in Mexico, they didn’t return for their court date.
On September 14 of this year, Dog, Tim, and Leland were arrested again but this time by US Marshalls and were to be held while awaiting extradition to Mexico to face charges. They were released on bonds of $300,000 for Dog and $100,000 each for Tim and Leland.
I am very happy that the tides have turned in favor of the Chapman family. I feel that what they do for a living is an amazing thing. I also feel that what happened to them (the arrests) was awful. They caught a man that drugged and violated women in the most horrible way possible. For that they should be commended, not condemned.

It’s totally surprizing what people will say on this site. This site’s writers do their best on writing and researching many different topics, so that we the readers have something to read and think about. Whether it be about a popstar, a movie star or even television star, we should be appreciative that someone is willing to take the time to do this for the rest of us. I have been reading this site off and on. The different topics are meant for a variety of readers, not just one type of reader. I might like something about a “Duane (DOG) Chapman” where others might not. This doesn’t give anyone the right to harp on the writers for not putting on just what YOU want to see as a reader. If you don’t like whats being written on this site why not try and start your own, then you could see just how hard it is. Inclusion just maybe instead of writing something negitive about any of the writers why not write nothing at all. It saves the rest of us from reading the immature comments left by people who have no respect for other readers or the writers on this site ….
If I remember correctly, HotMomma posted wedding pictures of Duane Chapman when he got married and I believe that she also reported when he was arrested. None of you complained about it then. People are going to complain about whatever is written now simply because it’s not Hot Momma writing it. It’s really getting old.

I think they’ve improved alot since taking over the site. I admit at first, it wasn’t all that great, but they’ve made alot of progress in a short amount of time. So, quit your b*tching and go somewhere else.

i’m glad he’s free. i saw a special on dateline about that guy they were trying to catch. he’s really sick. and unfortunately rich enough to get away. i’m glad someone caught him and they should not be punished for it.
I totally agree with regnig; Leland is one hot sexy man isn’t he! Anyway I am glad you reported this as I am a huge fan of the show.

Leland is one fine hunk of man meat. I’m glad that they are not proceeding with prosecution for the time being. These men are heroes, and I hope it teaches these cowards that they can’t run to another country in an attempt to hide from their crimes. Quite frankly, I’m suprised the Mexican government doesn’t allow bounty hunters to get these awful people off their streets. I know, its a crazy thought…
So I guess that means it is ok for him to be above the law but not anyone else. They were picked up for skipping bail, exactly what they arrest people for. A little hypocritical dont you think?
They were not picked up for jumping bail. They paid their bail in Mexico. And then they were advised by a lawyer in Mexico that they didn’t have to return for the court date. That is why they were arrested on September 14 of this year.
good for them! its a sick, sad world we live in when people are penalized for taking a dangerous man off of the streets….its so blatantly obvious that because this andrew guy came from money he is bitterly trying to get Dog and his family in trouble. there has to be standards when it comes to certain laws- if it means possibly saving lives. (i.e. the “hit list” the police found that andrew had been putting together).
fyi….if you are long time follower of hotmomma gossip you know that hotmomma regularly posted about Dog and his family. there are plenty of fans that read this site.

I totally appreciate your posts and everything about the hot momma site but I work in the bail bond industry. Jumping Bail is not showing up for your court date not just not paying your bond. They did jump bail and as bondsmen they should have known that unless they have the papers in their hands telling them the case had been dismissed then they had to show up for court.

And I also agree, this site has improved. Apparently, they are getting in touch with their readers and doing what they can to cater to us. And I have NEVER seen a post about NAscar on here, go to the nascar website if you want updates, and go somewhere else if all you want to do is complain.
Nascar? are you serious? sports are completely unrelated to the entertainment concept of this site. (particularly that sport) lol.
