Angelina - A Mighty Heart

In the film Angie portrays Mariane Pearl, widow of WSJ reporter Daniel Pearl.
This was the film that Jennifer Aniston was rumored to have done with ex-husband Brad, but after seeing the image of Angie as Mariane, I personally think that Angie was the better choice. What do you think?

On a side note, Angelina & Brad donated $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation, on what would have been his 43rd birthday. For those curious about the Daniel Pearl Foundation, to Quote the website:

i would’ve preferred to see them cast an african american woman, but i guess this is one of the perks of sleeping with the producer right? i’m sure she’ll do a good job though. but didn’t jen anniston secure the movie rights for this with marianne pearl personally? if so that’s a little tacky for angelina to now be cast. whatever. what does the daniel pearl foundation do?

I agree with Kurlz! Marianne Pearl is half black, half Cuban. The actress cast for this role should have been black or of mixed heritage. But hey, as Kurlz said, it helps if you sleep with the producer. Then basically anything goes!

I do agree that maybe someone like Halle Berry would have had “looked” more like Mariane however there is no way in hell Jennifer would have been able to pull off this role.

I think Angelina looks gorgeous in that pic and i’m sure she will do an incredible job.
Thank you HMG for adding the info about the Daniel Pearl Foundation. I recently read Mariane’s book, A Mighty Heart and even though you know the outcome the story is a suspenseful eye opener about Al Queda, the connection between Daniel’s kidnapping and even 9/11.
