Earlier this week, Avril Lavigne was in a little ’spittle’ with photogs when they caught her making out in a car with husband, Deryck Whibley outside Hyde Nightclub. The punky-turned glam singer rolled down her window and ‘hocked a loogie’ at the paparrazi. And granted..spitting at someone is pretty punk rock. It can be against the law..body fluids…assault..it just spells disaster. And I have a feeling Avril knows this and is either scared to be sued or genuinely feels bad, because she just posted this apology on her official MySpace page:

I’d like to sincerely apologize for my behavior with the Paparazzi. It’s trying at best dealing with their insistent intrusions. I meant no offense to my fans, whose relationship I truly value. I have and will always go out of my way for my fans. My behavior was a reaction to the persistent attack..from the paparazzi.”

MMm..so I wonder if the paparazzi even have MySpace pages..um..hello..it doesn’t seem like the most effective way of saying “I’m Sorry”..it’s kinda like breaking up with someone on a post-it note..right?

In an another meager attempt to strike up interest in his new reality show, Nick Carter revealed to Page Six that he hooked up with Ashlee Simpson to get back at his girlfriend, Paris Hilton. He tells Page Six,

I’d fallen head over heels with this chick. Then, all of a sudden, three months go by and I got people telling me, ‘Nick, you know what Paris is doing to you,’ and I got a little upset,” Carter related. “So then I just decided to fight back a little bit and started doing my own thing again. The result is I hooked up with Ashlee Simpson. When Paris came back from Australia, they talked to each other and she found out about it.

“So I brought it up to her and said, ‘You know what I did, and now it’s your turn. Why don’t you tell me what you did.’ And she goes, ‘I never did anything! I never cheated on you.’ I had kind of started to really like Ashlee and I was thinking about the dating stage, then, before you know it [bleep]ing bitch-face comes back.”

Isn’t funny that when a has-been celebrity has a new project to promote he resorts to spilling the beans on all the women he’s hooked up with? Ugh! You know damn well if a woman did the same thing..we’d all call her a Lindsay Lohan slut.

Another one bites the dust!

Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria and her boyfriend, Tony Parker have split up! Distance and busy schedules are to blame for the demise of this beautiful couple! A source close to the couple tells People Magazine,

“They did break up. It’s amicable,” the source says, adding, “They are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future. They are trying to work things out.”

I honestly can’t keep up with all these Hollywood starlets and their on again and off again boyfriends. Lindz and ex-boyfriend, Harry Morton were seen having lunch at the Ivy on Thursday. I guess the Team Harry support worked for Lindz!

Early reports claimed that Anna Nicole and her lawyer, Howard Stern had gotten married in the Bahamas yesterday morning. However, the reports were not entirely true. While it is true that Anna & Howard had a ‘committment ceremony’ it was NOT a wedding and no marriage certificate was issued. The couple released a press release informing the public of their NON wedding ceremony. Here’s the jist of their statement,

Anna Nicole and Howard “escaped their house” at three o’clock this morning, according to their press release, “and boarded a boat to quietly sail the ocean around Nassau … on a clandestine sail to recapture simple pleasures — fresh salt air on the face, a sunrise on the ocean, and wind in their hair. And then a good thing happened: during the sail, Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern made a commitment before God to be there for one another, to be each other’s strength during this difficult time.

I don’t know… but for some reason when I read about their ‘clandestine sail’, all I can think of is that commercial where the couple is out on the boat and the boat starts to sink..so the girl whips out a tampon to plug up the hole. Romantic!
