Anna Nicole Smith’s Son Dies, Daughter Born.

Anna Nicole Smith gave birth to a baby girl in the Bahamas on Thursday just three days before her 20 year old son, Daniel died suddenly. TMZ.com reports:
According to a statement posted on Smith’s website annanicole.com, “On September 7th Anna Nicole gave birth to a healthy 6 pound, 9 ounce baby girl. Her son Daniel was in the Bahamas with her to share in the joy of his baby sister when he passed away suddenly on the morning of September 10th. We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor.”

According to The Nassau Guardian:
- Daniel Smith, son of the model and actress, reportedly suffered a “massive heart attack” on the maternity ward in Doctors Hospital.
- According to [a] source, Daniel collapsed and died. The source added that his mother made an unsuccessful effort to revive her son.
- While members of the press were rushed into the conference room, hospital staff hustled the baby out into a waiting van, while Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer, Howard K Stern, rushed to the hospital parking lot at the same time.
- The new mother was never seen, as she was reportedly whisked out of a backdoor exit. Photos of the baby wrapped in a pink and white blanket could not be taken, as all cameramen were diverted into the hospital conference room.
- Daniel’s lifeless body was then taken away in a hearse through a side exit.

Oh man….that is really heartbreaking. How sad for her to have to bury a child at such a young age and yet she has another child to care for in this ordeal my thoughts and prayers go out to her.
Very sad, I can’t believe he died of a heart attack at 20. I feel bad for Anna, no matter how she may act sometimes, my heart still goes out to her and I hope she can find comfort with her little girl.

How terrible! I couldn’t even imaging the emotions which she must be experiencing right now. My heart goes out to her and her new baby girl. Hopefully she will find peace soon, so that she’s completely mentally capable of taking care of her new little one.
This is probably the strangest thing i have ever heard and one of the saddest. It’s weird because i feel both happy and bad for Anna because while she did give birth, she’a also burying her only son at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers go out to Anna and her family.
This is a truly sad story.

And even though he was only 20, you can have a heart attack at any age.
It’s not common, but does happen.

Wow, that is so sad. My prayers goes out to her and her family. I hope the media gives her the respect she deserves during this difficult time.
I can’t believe it, this is tragic. My heart goes out to Anna. She must be going through such a mixture of emmotions. Her baby daughter will never know her big brother now. He seemed so nice, down to earth. Only 20 and he died of a heart attack. May he rest in peace.
How sad to celebrate the birth one of child, and then have to mourn the death of another. Truly tragic.
No one should know the pain of losing a child. No matter what people think of her she is a mother. May God keep them all close during this terrible time.

Poor Anna! I may not agree with her choices in life, but as a mother myself, I feel soo badly for her. I can’t imagine going through what she is right now. While her daughter can never take the place of her son, I hope she can take comfort in her daughter.
I saw on the news tonight that it is not a heart attack. They still have to do an autopsy to determine cause of death but the coroners say it does not look naturally caused…Hmmm
