WE’RE sure John Mayer had fun with Jessica Simpson while it lasted. Last week, Us Weekly proclaimed they were dating. People magazine even went so far as to quote a Simpson pal as saying they were “in love.” But Mayer has already dumped Simpson, because, insiders say, she and her pals are too loose-lipped for the reclusive Mayer. One person in the Mayer camp told Us Weekly the relationship “was a 2 [that] her camp spun into an 11 . . . [Mayer] thinks it’s desperate . . . an attempt to stay in the spotlight.”
Interesting. He was no doubt put off by the papa Joe factor. I don’t see Jess getting a serious relationship anytime soon.No guy wants to deal with Joe and his controlling ways.

HA, like he didn’t enjoy the spotlight in him for a while?? didn’t he also have a record release at the same time as her’s?? I think it was all a giant publicity stunt!
