Jessica Simpson may have lost her voice, but she can still command a roller rink.

Last night at the Roxy Roller Disco — still in business after 7,000 years — Simpson twirled in every direction, raising her leg and posing sexily for photographer Kevin Mazur.

It was a public affair to launch her Sony album, “A Public Affair,” sponsored by Yahoo! (The video for the dreadful title track is set in … a roller disco!)

Jessica, meantime, couldn’t get her sister Ashlee Simpson to appear skate-side. The reason, I’m told, is that she’s about to star in the London production of “Chicago.” (It’s unclear whether this is a new, all lip-synched version of the Kander-Ebb musical.)

According to KGET TV 17:

Hilary Duff made an appearance in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday to mark the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Duff has donated 2.5 million meals for Katrina relief through nonprofit organization USA Harvest and will deliver food, backpacks and miscellaneous items throughout the day.

The singer/actress visited schools, a disaster-recovery center and other locations with charity founder Stan Curtis.

The actress/singer made the morning announcements and met with fans at Nelson Charter School, served lunch at Alice M. Harte Elementary School, spoke at Edna Karr High School and handed out dinner at Camp Hope in St. Bernard Parish.

Womanizing Wilmer Valderamma has just found a new way to steal the hearts of women across America. Okay..well mostly housewives..but whatev! Wilmer has signed up to be the voice of The Disney Channel’s new cartoon, Handy Manny. He is pictured here with his little bro at the World Premiere of Handy Manny.

Ladies..let me ask you..is there anything sexier than the men on Disney Channel, PBS & Nickelodeon. Yeah..you know what I’m talking about..the Blue Wiggle, Johnny from Johnny and the Sprites..and even Joe from Blues Clues.

Matt Leinart is going to be a daddy! And NOOOO it’s not Paris Hilton’s baby. The Arizona Cardinals quarterback surprised everyone when he announced that he was expecting a baby with USC Women’s Basketball player, Brynn Cameron, 20 years old. Leinart was rumored to be dating Paris Hilton in May. But apparently, that was just a fling. Leinart and Cameron are reported to be ‘excited and have full support from their families.’
