Uh Oh… Me thinks things are gonna get ugly… really, really ugly… Stay tuned on this one!

Viacom Inc.’s Paramount Pictures unit is ending its 14-year relationship with Tom Cruise’s film production company because of the actor’s offscreen behavior, the company’s chairman said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

Sumner Redstone, Viacom chairman, said the behavior of the star of the “Mission: Impossible” series and “Top Gun” was unacceptable to the company, according to the Wall Street Journal story e-mailed to reporters.

Cruise, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, has been known more recently for his antics on U.S. television talk shows, including jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey’s couch to declare his love for Katie Holmes and criticizing the use of antidepressant drugs.

“As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal,” Redstone was quoted as saying in the Wall Street Journal. “His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount.”

Cruise’s representatives and officials from Viacom and Paramount did not have any immediate comment on the report. ~ AllieIsWired

Something is really wrong with Hollywood….while I don’t agree with Tom’s views on antidepressents, etc. and I think he is eccentric to say the least, to end a business relationship for that is lame. Meanwhile celebs with Heroin addiction and DUI’s keep their picture deals, but Tom Cruise’s behaviour is unacceptable. Is it me or is that just a little off?????

Actually anaon 3:27 , Hollyweird used to actually have morality clauses in their contracts. In the end, Hollyweird is all about the money, if the studios loose money, you are a liability and his actions have been on the bizarre side. It’s about time some of these celebrities got a dose of reality. This may be the beginning of what other Hollyweird types may face in the future. Remember, LiLo got repremanded just recently as well.

I don’t care if Tom is a little off. He is HOT! And he is a GREAT actor. He’s has his opinions and he’s been man enought to stand up for what he believes, whether or not we agree shouldn’t matter.

Hot?! You’ve GOT to be kidding. Tom Cruise is a freaky caricature of his former self —- has that “I’ve lost touch with all reality” look, and is quickly going the way of Michael Jackson (minus the little boys).

What did JLo get reprimanded for? I do remember that way back when they did have morality clauses, but really what has he done so bad (okay besides the anti-depressent backlash, and turning his wife into a scientombie).hmmmmmm..maybe I have answered my own question

Anonymous 5:55 PM, I think anonymous 9:23 AM was referring to Lindsey Lohan…she was in trouble for not showing up? or something like that. However, I think I agree with 3:27AM, as eccentric as Tom is…jumping on a couch or spouting his beliefs really isn’t any different of behavior than some of the other Hollyweird folks. Probably he is just not “hot” so they don’t want him anymore…
