Travis Barker & Shana Moakler: SPLIT!

Another reality couple bites the dust. “Meet the Barkers” couple, Travis and Shana have officially announced a split according to People Magazine. A representative for Travis Barker reveals,
“I can confirm that Travis filed this morning,” Barker’s rep, Dvora Vener, tells PEOPLE.Through her publicist, Moakler tells PEOPLE, “My only concern right now is for the welfare and best interests of my children.”
Barker, 30, and Moakler, 31, were married in a Gothic ceremony on Halloween eve in 2004. The theme of the wedding was Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
They have two children: son Landon, 2, and daughter Alabama, 7 months. Moakler also has a daughter, Atiana, 7, from a previous relationship.

sad. she was married to oscar de la hoya before him. that’s who atiana’s father is. why can’t these chicks just date normal, nice guys???

i do not think she was married to De La Hoya, she just dated him. actually it isn’t much of a shock that they are slpitting up, there have been reports for a while that he was sick of her lazy ass.
let this be a warning to all hollywood couples soon to be married…DO NOT DO A REALITY TV SERIES! IT WILL DOOM YOUR MARRIAGE!!!!
I watched their show a few times. All she did is sleep and whine.
And naming your daugther Alabama? GAG.
I was telling dh about this last night and he said “yeah, she’s a FREAK! You’d better belive that WE’D be history if you pulled half the crap she does!”
uh…so…SHE’s the freak, aparently he’s 100% normal? lol

doesn’t anyone even try to save their marriage anymore? I mean, they’ve barely been married 2 years! WTF??! There’s more to marriages, than sex, money & fame.
Disappointing, I thought they were a cute couple.
noooooooooooooooooo say it ain’t so, they were fantastic together, why is all the tv reality couples breaking up, note to other celebs don’t do your own tv show if you want your marriage to last! my thoughts go out to the family at this difficult time
maybe Blink-182 will get back together now…. i heard she caused a lot of the problems in the band, not letting Travis do certain things, and trying to control the tours/videos…. she is a whack job!

I am SOOO bummed! I love their show & loved them together. I’m not surprised though. It’s too bad!!! They were such a cute family.
Come on now, is anyone really surprised? I don’t think we have any idea what kind of stress celebrities are under at all times with the paparazzi, opposite schedules, and constantly being in the public eye- it would be exhausting. I agree with 10:34…these people need to get a clue and find nice, normal, grounded people to burden with their insane lifestyles.
She never married Oscar, they were engaged, and shared a home in Las Vegas.

I am a bit shocked by this. I watched their reality show on MTV a few times, they seemed very much in love. I feel sorry for their chidren. MTV is cursed! First Jessica and Nick break up, then Carmen & Dave and now Shanna and Travis. It’s crazy.
Wow maybe she has another man cause she is HOT and he looks like a starving chicken that got blasted by paint balls! But I did think they would make it lol!

Wow i can’t believe they split up, definitely one of the most surprising breakups of the year so far. How sad is it that they have a 7 month year old daughter too, i honestly think the demise of their marriage had to do with having two kids within their two year marriage. I also don’t think an MTV reality show was a good idea either. I wish the best for both of them though.
I’m happy they are splitting! He deserves someone better, more like him. She was too much of a pretty materialistic girl, meanwhile he’s a gorgeous but grungy awesome drummer! I hope he finds exactly what he’s looking for!
Oh! And I forgot, TRAVIS, I’m single too and younger! And I’m not like her, all fancy smancy! So now we can be together!!
awwww sooo sad i watched their show quite a bit it was quite good i thought they made a really cute couple they seemed good together
I think this is so sad , but Shana isen’t fit to be a mother and if you read Travis Barkers blog from myspace you will see what i mean.
Travis and Shana are a cute couple and it seems that travis wants the best for his children and he wants them to be happy and staying with Shana, her sleeping in till 2 and then going out and not even seeing her children doesn’t seem so happy.
Maybe this divorce will make her pull her head in and actully be a good mother.
they were a cute couple and hopefully they can work things out and maybe get back together.i like shanna, i think she’s stylish, says what’s on her mind, and she seems like a lot of fun to hang out with.Her and travis seem to belong together is the way i see it, and if they are meant to be together than they will be.she might not be the best mother in the world, but it seems her kids are well taken care of, so i don’t think people should be hating on her for that
