I don’t want no SCRUF…

Forget international relations, forget starving children and forget finding Osama Bin Laden….Kelly Monaco and Brooke Burke are fighting for a cause greater than all of those combined….SCRUF! Yep..you read right folks…these girls marched in NYC this morning in support of the National Organization of Social Crusaders Repulsed by Unshaven Faces. Repulsed by Unshaven faces? Apparently the girls vowed to stop shaving completely until the men do.

I think our celebrities have too much time on their hands. I mean there are way more important issues at hand than protesting over the fact that men don’t shave by boycotting female hair removal (like hunger, poverty, war, etc.) I for one will not go natural and European for this dumb cause. I mean it is not like a feminist revolution. Body hair is just gross period.
Maybe I’m missing the point, but I don’t understand who exactly they’re hurting?
I couldn’t give a tiny rat’s ass if they shave or not.
thats dumb. i want brooke burke’s body though. love her jeans.
You could probably have Brooke Burkes body if you used to be married to a plastic surgeon.
Somehow I don’t see them being nominated for any humanitarian awards for this cause. But I suppose for them, this is very important and growing their hair and turning into wookies is their idea of a great protest. More power to them. It just makes them look vapid and shallow!
I love it when my hubby has a bit of scruff. It’s sexy!
Brooke has the exact same expression in both pictures. Wierd.
These women need to get real lives. Tit-for-tat attitudes are really immature. I agree with those who are really disappointed that this isn’t a freedom-from-shaving, genuine equality-of-the-sexes message, but instead they’re using archaic female manipulative tactics to get their own narrow, hairless preference into the norm. Whose business is it how others wear their body hair, anyway? They must be afraid of real men. Pathetic.
There’s nothing wrong with hair on women — or on men. It’s nature’s indication signifying physical and sexual maturity, something real adults (sexually mature people) should look for. Our stupid, western fascination with childlike hairlessness is much more of a concern: if you can’t find a person attractive unless his/her body is devoid of hair, then you’re probably a pedophile. Grow up, world.
It’s a Gillette ad.
