Tori Spelling: On her father’s death
Posted on June 28th, 2006 by Hot Momma
On the night of June 23, Tori Spelling sat in Betty’s restaurant in Toronto, Canada, when she received the heartbreaking news via BlackBerry that her father, legendary producer, Aaron, had passed away: “A friend of mine had seen a TV report and e-mailed me, ‘I’m so sorry. I just heard your father died.’ And I was just in total shock,” Tori tells Us. Her sorrow quickly turned to anger.
“My first thought was, I can’t believe my mom didn’t call me!” Actually, it wasn’t a total surprise since Tori, 33, and her mom, Candy have been in a longstanding feud. Because of the estrangement, the self-proclaimed daddy’s girl had only seen her 83-year-old father – whose health had been failing for months – on one occasion since last September. And that tearful visit, at the urging of her brother, Randy, 27 (also an actor), was on June 11, just two weeks before Aaron Spelling died.
Tori remembers their final conversation. “The last words he spoke to me were over the phone a couple of days before he passed,” she recalls to Us. “He said, ‘I love you, babe.’ ”

i felt awful for her but this picture doesnt seem like she cares
they just probably found any ol pictures where she looked semi decent and stuck it on the cover next to that comment.
How sad that she didnt get to say goodbye!
I don’t feel sorry for her. She was up in Canada showing off how she is a homewrecker and proud of it while her father was home after having his stroke. She is very selfish, IMO.
I don’t feel sorry for her, if she really cared about her dad she could have tried way the heck harder to get in contact and if I was in a fight with my parents I would work my a– off to make things right, life is way too short to be feuding with your parents, so this is her own fault, she is 33 not 3!!!
Man she is soooooooo freakin’ fugly! Not only on the outside but also on the inside. I don’t blame her mom for being mad at her; while she is up in Cananda whoring it up her father who made her what she is (a D lister now) was dying. I can’t believe she thinks anyone is going to feel sorry for her. Please! Tori honey get over yourself because you are not all that.
Well, selfish or not, it’s pretty sad how all this turned out for the Spelling family.
It sucks loosing someone, parent, grandparent, friend, but she doesnt seem to be grieving at all. She saw him two weeks before he died, the world knew the weekend of his death that he had another stroke, where was she then? Regardless of the bitterness between her and her mother, IF, and I say it w/ capitol letters, cause in the end she wasn’t so much, she was a Daddy’s Girl, as she likes to proclaim, why wasn’t she at his side? If my father had a stroke I would be there as fast as humanly possible. But I guess that’s where real people and celebrities like her differ.
