Star Jones told not to come back tomorrow…

After spilling the beans to People Magazine about her contractual (or lack thereof) negotions with ABC, Star Jones was asked not to return to work tomorrow. The former View Co-Host announced her departure from the show on Tuesday’s broadcast. Jones, was only scheduled to leave in September, however; her loose lips prompted the network to let her go immediately.

thank god, her tendency to relate EVERYTHING back to herself and anything related to her was totally annoying … not to mention her blatant denial of weight loss surgery, saying she lost wieght w/out surgery is like saying her husband isn’t gay , oops did I say that?
i honestly cant stand this woman but it is pretty offensive that after 9 years of service to an organization they would just allow her to kind of disappear, especially after all the goodbye specials for meredith.
if i were star, i would be offended and i think she acted how anyone would in that situation. Although ABC obviously has the bigger balls, Walters is pretty out of line to say she was offended by it. Its not her job that was taken from her.
she completely deserved to get the boot! television is so much better without her!
I would love it if this was the last we’ll hear from Star on her firing/contract not being renewed, but I find that hard to believe. She should keep her mouth shut, though, because all her potential future bosses are seeing the true Star right now, and they probably don’t like what they see! I am sure Star will find work (if she’s smart, she’ll stick to what she’s good at - the law and stop yakking about how perfect her life is because we all know that’s BS.) Maybe CourtTV is interested, seems like CNN and NBC are willing to share her story, maybe they’ll hire her.
I don’t really care who said what when, because Star’s departure was long overdue. She’s lucky that ABC/Barbra kept her as long as they did (E! knew not to keep her and I don’t see her hawking Payless shoes anymore). I don’t know how she reconciles her self-centered, greedy and sanctimonious
behavior with being a family honoring and God-fearing believer. Doesn’t sync up for me somehow.
One comment about her weight loss approach - she was the one who said in her OWN book (which was exerpted in People mag) that she lost the weight by “watching what she ate and doing Pilates.” She opened the door wide open to scrutiny, therefore, the question of did she or didn’t she have gastric bypass is legit. I personally don’t care how she did
it - hopefully she’s happy with the results and is healthy.
I won’t miss her.
Well… her job wasn’t TAKEN, her contract was not renewed.
There were all kinds of things planned for her official departure, but Star had to be the one in control, and she’s gonna learn the hard way not to bite the hand that feeds her.
On her weight loss — I’m fairly certain I read a few months back that she did lost the weight by having ‘gastric banding’ and not ‘gastric bypass.’ Two completely different things, but they are BOTH forms of weight loss surgery. The unfortunate part is that she felt she had to lie in the first place. Most people see weight loss surgery as a sort of cheat or easy way out.
I’m glad she is gone…She was such a phoney baloney!! She and Al Roker look like identical twins, are they related?

Joy behar, who the heck is she? and why does she concider herself a comedian? The only thing funny about her is that awful hair.
That Elizabeth person, Have you ever heard such an annoying voice in your life? THe only view she has is everyone elses, she reminds me of a frightened mouse.
And Old Barbara, She went from being one of the worlds best journalist, to the queen of a horrible talk show. She needs to spend the rest of her life sueing the “Dr.” who dismembered her face.

MERIAL. AT LEAST YOU KNOW WHEN YOU TURN IT ON , THE INFORMERCIAL IS GOING TO BORE YOU TO TEARS!!!!!!!
like her or hate her, she and meridith brought at least some kind of intelligence to the show. now it is not worth watching. the producers of that show new exactly what star was doing for her wedding, yet held that against her, then they had the nerve after her being loyal to that show for years to bring someone in to sit right beside her who has said mean things in the public about her, they are theones that did her wrong, not the other way around.
