Star Jones FIRED from The View...
Weight isn’t the only thing that Star Jones has lost since marrying hubby, Al Reynolds. The former lawyer and talk show host has also lost the respect of her View Co-Hosts and super boss, Barbara Walters. In what seemed like an inevitable turn of events, Star Jones announced her departure from the show this morning.

People Magazine reports:

Star Jones Reynolds announced Tuesday morning on The View that she’ll be leaving the show in July after nine years as a cohost.

“After much prayer and council I feel like this is the right time to tell you that the show is moving in another direction for its tenth season and I will not be retuning as cohost next year,” Star said on the air.

So why is she leaving? Contrary to speculation that she’s unhappy about the upcoming addition of Rosie O’Donnell – one of Star’s most vocal critics – to the show this fall, Star reveals exclusively in this week’s PEOPLE magazine that the departure was not her choice.

“What you don’t know is that my contract was not renewed for the 10th season,” Star tells PEOPLE. “I feel like I was fired.” Star adds that she was told her contract wouldn’t be renewed just days before news leaked that O’Donnell would be joining The View.

Star, 44, was part of the original lineup with Meredith Vieira (who has already departed to replace Katie Couric on the Today show, Joy Behar and show creator and executive producer Barbara Walters.

Good. She’s a little too full of herself.

Not having ones contract renewed is NOT the same as being fired. Talk about drama queen!

I wonder who they will replace her with. Hopefully NOT Gayle King. There is already one programme on TV dedicated to how wonderful Oprah is..another one isn’t needed!

I think that she’s lucky to have lasted as long as she did…her prima dona diva ‘tude was a little tough to take knowing the type of lifestyle she’s attained begging for wedding freebies when her payless contract alone is enough for a family of four to live on for life…good riddance and hopefully no public comeback…she’s outworn any welcome she deserved!

I thought that Rosie was replacing Star. Anyway, I hate Rosie and I hate Star, but that’s why I don’t watch The View since the ladies are so annoying and old.

How could there have ever been any worse show than the View? all of them are hoes, especially Barbara Walters. That show makes women as a whole look bad from a male perspective. They bring you all down!

Good riddance! It’s about time they got rid of that snobby, bug-eyed bitch! And is it just me, or does she look like she and the late Divine were separated at birth? (if you overlook the whole being black part, that is…)
