Brad Pitt recognized by NewsWeek…

Brad Pitt (not Angelina Jolie?) was chosen as one of NewsWeeks top 15 influential people as part of their “Giving back Awards”.
Newsweek says this of Pitt:
If it weren’t for Pitt, most Americans would never have heard of Namibia, might not know about AIDS orphans in South Africa, the plight of children in Haiti, or what transpired at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Pitt also talks about fatherhood. “I look at [Zahara] and imagine what her life could have been,” he tells Senior Writer Sean Smith about his daughter who was adopted from Ethiopia. “You want to grab as many of these kids in your arms as you can. They need our help, and we should be doing more.”
Um..hello…NewsWeek is acting like Angelina Jolie had NOTHING to do with any of Brad’s new philanthropic interests…ahhhh! Give me a break!

to all of you who think that brad cheated on jen with angelina, get a freaking life. are you out of your minds? don’t you all have better things to concern yourselves with? for all we know, jen could have been the one to cheat, or had a drug problem, or (gasp) had an abortion, or was a total compulsive psycho? have any of you thought that (oh my god) she may have been responsible for their breakup? none of us really know what went on, so give up your pathetic judgements and speculations and move on!
I think it’s entirely safe to say that Angelina is a total freak, not based on “speculation” but fact.

Brad Pitt is more mainstream and more people will follow what he does not Angelina. She freaks me out and I would not look into anything she did but Brad Pitt has more of a following and people do not think he is freak - he did not make out with a sibling or wear viles of blood!
I agree w/Hot Momma - should be Angelina recognized, not Brad. Or at the very least, both of them maybe.

before i say anything: i like angelina. however, without brad no one would really care about what she did. she was definitely not as famous before she and brad where together, she was just some crazy chick who “f#$%^&” billy bob on the way here”.
yeah she does a lot, but being with brad really brought it all to the forefront. for all we know this is all something brad has been doing all along and their high profile romance brought it to light. this common interest may have been part of what brought them together in the first place. not everyone screams what they do for the world from the roof tops. just because angelina is seen on tv with her face covered in foreign countries doesnt mean shes the only humanitarian.
Bill Gates and Warren Buffet deserve far more allocades than Brad Freakin’ Pitt.
