JESSICA SIMPSON is furious with former friend VANESSA MINNILLO and insists the TV presenter has betrayed her by dating her estranged husband NICK LACHEY.
Minnillo and Simpson became fast friends after meeting at an MTV event in 2003 and frequently enjoyed “girls’ nights out” together. And now Minnillo’s father, VINCENT MINNILLO, confirms, “Vanessa is friends with Jessica. In fact, (Vanessa, Jessica and Nick) have gone to clubs together and had fun.” The trouble between the former pals reportedly began when 32-year-old Lachey asked Minnillo to star in his music video WHAT’S LEFT OF ME, which documents the end of his marriage to Simpson. A source says, “Jess was bothered by that, but she was willing to let it slide because she knows how badly Vanessa has wanted to get into acting.”
To make matters worse, Simpson confided in her friend when her marriage was breaking down and Minnillo encouraged her to leave Lachey if she wasn’t happy. After seeing steamy photos of the new couple kissing in Mexico, Simpson was crushed even further. The source adds, “It’s painful and hurtful, but it just reinforces her decision to leave Nick.”

Jessica Simpson and her dad are just trying to spin this in order to take some of the heat off of her. They are so predictable that it’s annoying. Her decision to leave Nick had absolutely NOTHING to do with anything that Nick did wrong. Hold on..people lambast Denise Richards for hooking up with Heather Locklears husband but think it’s fine for Jessica Simpsons friend to hook up with her ex? I get that people don’t like her, but Nick Lachey hasn’t been squeaky clean either. Since the break up he’s been linked to anything with a skirt on, and was apparently “serious” about one women while making out with another. Jessica has been linked to one or two guys. Why is she a slut and no one makes comments about him?
If Vanessa Manillo was her friend and she confided in her when her marriage was breaking down, then I fully understand why she is upset. Sorry, but you don’t mess with your girlfriend’s ex. It’s the first rule of friendship. The second rule of friendship is you don’t mess with your girlfriend’s ex!
theres no proof to the point that they where even friends. we all know her and eva mendes are friends, it was obvious that heather and denise were friends. what, now they are suddenly friends? i dont buy that point in the first place. plus, nick has been tied by the MEDIA to a bunch of girls, if he went to dinner with one or went to a movie that does not necessarily mean he was dating a single one of them. while i dont agree with calling jess a slut or assuming she cheated on him, she is a lousy person for giving up on marriage to a good person (over email allegedly) and talking so much trash on nick while he has completely taken the high road. yes, he did an interview discussing the end but he did not have a single bad thing to say about her and even defended her when reporters tried to get him to say that shes a selfish brat and her dad is a sick lunatic.
Let’s be honest..no one knows the whole story behind their divorce. Just what has been printed in the tabloids. People take sides because they prefer one person over the other. Most people here find Nick hot so they sympathise with him. There were plenty of rumours about him cheating before the marriage broke down. He was seen out and about while they were still married and there are women who claim they slept with him while he was married. There is as much proof that he cheated as there is that she did! All this speculation that it is all her fault or that she was a selfish witch is just speculation..no one has any proof unless they were actually involved in the divorce. If Jessica Simpson was friends with Vanessa Manillo while she was married and she confided in her when she was having doubts about her marriage, I can fully understand why she is upset here. I imagine every other women on this forum would feel the same way if someone they trusted started seeing their ex!
I totally believe this bs is blown out of proportion. They used to be friends back in 2003, when her big breast husband was flirting with Vanessa at a TRL festivity. They were friends and she told Jessica if Nick was giving her problems she should dump him. I truly believe Jessica didn’t leave minime because of Vanessa. She tried to see if he would change his casual ways. Obviously he didn’t! I don’t blame Jessica for dumping his no dick man tittie ass, because he is such a poser, a player on the outside but a virgin on the inside, something Jessica already knows, watch Newlyweds you will see what I mean. I am a fan of both Nick and Jessica, but all you people are f*n nuts!!! The only reason Nick is with Vannessa is b/c he’s the type of guy that can’t be alone. He’s feels like a failure. Oh, and the Jessica did not just wake up one day and decide to divorce Nick. Rumors about there seperation were going on long before the finally decided. Nick’s long parties at the Playboy mansion, the hot college girl he was kissing at the football game, oh my gahhh people wake up! Nick is not innocent. I’m not saying Jess is, but she is being made out to be the bad one. Jess is not bashing Nick, it’s the other way around! Nick is the one that was talking bad about Jess in the first place!
