Beyonce ambushed by PETA...damn you Ebay!TMZ.com reports:

Beyonce was confronted Thursday night at the swanky restaurant Nobu in New York City by two members of People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The two had won an eBay auction, benefiting VH1’s Save the Music Foundation, to dine with the star. Beyonce had no idea they were PETA members.

TMZ obtained video of the confrontation, shot by PETA, taped inside the restaurant. As they sat at the table, Beyonce, who has a fashion line with her mother that uses fur, had no idea what was coming. After placing their orders, the PETA members confronted the singer.

The PETA members then pulled out a portable DVD player and began playing a tape of Pamela Anderson’s attack on the fur industry, which highlights graphic footage of the process of killing animals for their fur.

Also present at the table — Beyonce’s mother Tina and her sister Solange.

The PETA members were swiftly escorted out of the restaurant. Beyonce and her relatives stayed inside.

PETA members are such freaks! They are just as bad when they assault people with paint or their fists. Two wrongs don’t make a right!

their intentions are good, their tactics are hypocritical and ridiculous- there is freedom of speech and thought but you cant make people listen or agree.

I live near where PETA has their main headquarters, they are on the news often for some of their behavior.
I personally think what they did to her is great, they didn’t splash paint on her or anything.

Beyonce thinks her shit don’t stink, pulling the shit she does with her “equal” bandmates.
Whatever, you are a spoiled bitch who thinks the world of music revolves around you!

I think that was great….. Celebrities (and people in general) need to more aware of the harm they doing to animals buy wearing or buying fur. It is cruel to animals and someone needs to stand up for the little guys!

i agree that someone needs to stand up for animals. but there is a mature and more productive way of doing it. the way in which PETA goes about getting the word out makes other animal right supporters look bad and only pisses people off- not a way to get people on your side. its counter-productive.

    BRAVO PETA!!!!
They could have done a lot worse, but they went about it in order to get close to her. FUR is disgusting and anyone who wears it or designs it is ignorant!

What’s wrong with wearing fur? I came fron Europe and it’s normal and standard to wear fur clothes in winter. Actually if you have fake fur coat on - then there is something wrong with you.

yeah it was publicity, no one said it was good. it showed that they are inconsiderate and have zero sense when it comes to their approach. sneak attacks or vicious, physical attacks are childish and counter productive.

i agree they have good intentions but THE WAY they go about it is never productive. yes, people may talk….about how its a shame that a group with such a great and noble cause does nothing to help their own case. they just end up looking dumb and no one will actually give them the time of day due to their immature tactics. “never argue with a fool, someone watching may not be able to tell the difference”. in a sense, they shoot themself in the foot all the time. all the good they have to say is overshadowed by their ridiculous behavior.

i support animal rights to the fullest but will never be categorized with an organization like that.

@Anonymous from Europe. I don’t know which country you live in, but since when is wearing fur normal in Europe? Not in my country it ain’t. And I’m Dutch, just for the record. I hate it when people wear fur. Did you know it takes 250 chinchilla’s to make one furcoat, but just one dumb bitch to wear it?

I own chinchillas, and anyone who could EVER wear them, should have to watch a video of how cruelly they are electrocuted. (it’s anally by the way)
It’s a horrible fate for some who are strictly bred just for a coat. (which takes up to 150 chinchillas for one coat)
    They are the sweetest animals.
I’ve owned 15 over the past 10 years, and I want to smack people who I see wearing a chinchilla coat.
    It’s disgusting.
And in their defense, I am with PETA on some cases.

Yeah, those PETA members are freaks. Why spend so much money on a bid (I’m thinking they bid a lot) just to ruin it. If I were them, I would have at least ambushed Beyonce after dessert!

I own two chinchillas as well. One was actually saved from a furfarm. She now has a very nice boyfriend (who is 12 years old, but still hopping along) and they are very happy together.

You go PETA ! Hopefully she will actually use her brain and figure out fur is cruel. Maybe she is a mean bitch like she appears to be. I’d like to kick JLo’s ass too.

what they accomplished, was a huge amount of publicity for peta and hopefully a lot more awareness. stop feeling sorry for Beyonce, she is a big girl, its not like they threw anything on her or anything they simply put across their views with the help of a video. They won the competition, im sure beyonce’s people didnt tell them specifically to ‘not mention fur’ so stuff her.

yeah. publicity. and yeah, beyonce is a big girl. it was her choice. was she like “yeah awesome a bajillion cute little animals can die so i can wear something totally unnecessary! YEAH! then i’ll parade around wearing their fur so everyone knows what a heartless snot i am”? come on.

and to the person from europe… whether or not it’s “normal”, is it RIGHT? is it necessary? do you not value the lives of innocent animals? are they nothing to you?
