Ben Affleck rushed to Emergency Room…

Posted on May 30th, 2006 by Hot Momma

People Magazine reports:

Ben Affleck spent his Memorial Day in the emergency room of a Boston-area hospital.
“Ben Affleck was treated for a migraine at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., today,” said Affleck’s rep, Ken Sunshine, in a statement on Monday. “He was released this afternoon, and is recuperating at home.”
According to the Boston Herald, Affleck’s wife, Jennifer Garner, drove him to the hospital at around 2:30 p.m. Affleck was released about two hours later after receiving treatment in the E.R.
Affleck and Garner along with their 6-month-old daughter, Violet, are in Cambridge for the summer while Affleck directs his first feature film, Gone, Baby, Gone.
The movie is an adaptation of a 1998 novel by Boston author Dennis Lehane about two Beantown detectives who are investigating the case of a missing 4-year-old. The cast includes Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, Michelle Monaghan and Ben’s brother, Casey Affleck.

That must have been one helluva migraine! Those suck bad, I get them and so far the worst one I’ve had has only made me vomit. I don’t blame him for getting it checked out Anon 7:42. Serious headaches could be indicative of a possible brain bleed or other serious conditions. Besides, he’s just making sure that he’s around for Miss Violet for a long time! :)

Anon. 7:42 I thought the same thing. It seems like these celebs go to the ER for every little problem that us civilians take for granted. Him with his migraine and Brit with her stomach ache…please. But in Ben’s defense he could’ve had an ocular migraine which causes you to see flashes of light and that can scare the hell out of anyone. I am a Cert. Ophthalmic Tech. and we used to see that every so often (it’s not a common problem but does happen). I’m sure they gave him ibprophen and he’s all better :).

Migraines can be almost intolerable and it may be the first time he’s had one, thus he may not have had meds to handle it. Maybe the ER was the best choice on a holiday, esp since they are out of town?

    Hope all is well.

I also get severe migraines….. for about 10 yrs now. They can be very painful and un-controlable and may need medical attention.

    Anon 7:42 - A migraine is NOT a headache!!!

Melanie, You said you are a Cert. Ophthalmic Tech? Amazing….Ibuprohen for migraine pain…LOL

HAHAHAHA I thought the same thing, I could eat an entire bottle of anything over the counter and not find relief from a migraine, they truly disrupt your day and they need RX for relief…RELPAX works GREAT!
