Just the Facts Maam...
No charges will be filed against Britney Spears, according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall. Britney caused an uproar amongst Child Safety Experts as pictures of the pop queen driving with her infant son impropery restrained surfaced on the internet yesterday. Marshall states that Britney should’ve had her child in a rear facing position, however, since the police did not actually witness her driving..there is nothing they can do.

Soo….let me ask this..do you think if we all saw pictures of hundreds of Child Safety experts beating Britney to a bloody pulp that the police would turn a blind eye because they did not witness the actual event? Just a thought…

I’m glad to see that the highway patrol did make a comment on the whole situation. But since it was a moving violation they really can’t do a thing about it…you can’t just take a snapshot of someone not yeilding to a stop sign and write them a sitation too. Yes they are two totally different infractions, but in the eyes of the law its the same thing. Hopefully Brit will learn a little something from THIS situation, which she should have learned before, and make better choices regarding SPF. I’m not going to say anything about her being unfit etc, I think enough was said from the 80+ posts previously, I just hope she takes the rollers out of her hair and starts putting her thinkng cap on in the morning instead!

I just thought it would only be fair to all parties to post this. It is from the california highway patrol. The actual written law implies nothing about age and weight it simply says that children under 60lbs are reqiured to be placed in a car seat. The fact about weight and how the child should be facing is only listed under tips.I thought that was interesting. So it turns out after all she didn’t break the law. Here is the link if anyone is interested. http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/safetyseats.html

It’s not an issue of breaking the law. It’s the issue of Britney being a fucking moron OVER and OVER again. While her heart may be in the right place, she keeps endangering her son.

If anyone had watched the news yesterday, they would all know that the Cali law states that it is recommended but not required that SPF be in a rear facing car seat.

Actually if a law has a
‘properly secured, appropriate, ect…’ clause then it is to default to the manufacturer’s instructions and most have 1 year AND 20(or 22lbs depending on the seat) requirements, which means if your instructions say this you are breaking the law by not following them(you are breaking the law by not following your instructions on ANY issue, not just FF vs RF). If Im remembering correctly all states have this clause, so it should default everywhere; and where they have smartened up they have added more clauses to the actual law to help enforce safe practices. California has this clause, but the carseat she is using does not have an age or height minimum for forward facing, only a weight minimum(20lbs, which from his photos Im betting he is about 21lbs or so). So technically she isnt breaking Cali. law by having him forward facing, but she is breaking the law for the way he is strapped in(straps should be snug but not tight. if they were snug he wouldnt be folded in half like that. Yes all babies flop some when they fall asleep, but if he was in their correctly only his neck and head would flop- not his whole upper half). Also the law of the land really doesnt matter when it comes to a crash, physics doesnt check with the law before it goes into play. The law of physics is what really matters here, and he is in danger the way he is- so is she & baby2be, she isnt properly secured either.

If Im seeing it correctly the seat she has is a Britax Marathon(possibly a roundabout which has basically the same instructions) and here is the manual for curious minds to read(I bet brit didnt read it, suprisingly lots dont read the entire thing) http://www.britaxusa.net/pdf/guide_marathon.pdf

The CHP have come out and said Britney did NOT break any laws, Sean is buckled in correctly.

    Sean meets the weight requirements.

The cops have spoken, thank god.

How can anybody be sure that the photo on the internet is real? Any high school student can dummy up a picture.
I’d have to question the authenticity of the “evidence”.
