I think the key is to browse constantly - or at least consistently. That way, you can pick up stuff when it's immediately on sale or marked down for best selection.

One tip for looking polished and together is: accessories, accessories, accessories! Not that you want to wear a lot of extra junk in the summer, but funky earrings, simple necklaces, scarf around the ponytail or hair-do and sassy shoes all lend to a Cute Pregnant Lady look.

I'm an avid reader of Hot Momma's site and LOVE IT!! Right now, I'm 33 weeks with my second child. I've had to purchase items for this summer in my third trimester as my first child was born in march. Sigh! I'm a huge ebay shopper as this is where I have purchased most of my maternity clothing, mostly new, but still cheaper than getting them new at the Gap or Old Navy.

Anyways, I learned of a neat tip with clothing during pregnancy. Use a skirt as a tube top...I have several cute skirts with the elastic waist bands that i bought from the Gap when i was not pregnant and I have received so many compliments! When it was still a little cool, i wore my maternity jean jacket over my skirt shirt. When i told my friends about this cool idea, they were totally impressed! So i told some other moms to be around here about it, and they too were wowed by the idea! I can't take credit for it, but i'm passing the tip along to any other hot mommas to be! Good luck to all of you!

I loved my Bella Band. I wish I got more colors, but stuck with white, since they're really pricey. I never got maternity pants. Well, I take that back. I did get a pair maternity Blue Cults in my first trimester, but it was a BIG mistake. I couldn't pull those jeans past my knees a month later. I gave up on maternity pants, bought a pair of non-maternity, used Citizens off ebay that was two sizes larger, and wore those with the Bella Band for the rest of my pregnancy. Comfy!! I used it for a bunch of other non-maternity pants as well, like capris and my ratty velour leisures.

I have a maternity clothing question for you all. What do you think of the Bella Band? Should I get one or not? I've heard mixed reviews - some love it and some say it doesn't fit well (rolls up or down or cuts off ciculation).

Thanks!

One trick I learned by pregnant moms when I worked retail, try buying some leggings, or cotton-y type pants, maybe a size larger then you normally wear, then turn them around. Yes wear them backwards.....
They can run you less then $10 a pair, and you can use them after if you like the style.
Or another trick, try your normal clothes, just wear a longer shirt, and take a safety pin and rubber band to your button.
