To promote his record release this August, rapper Kevin Federline, 28, submitted to a haircut, a shave and a wardrobe overhaul at a May photo shoot for Item magazine (out on June 5). After the makeover, he shared his philosophy on fatherhood, fame and fastfood.

On the public: “I should just put a bulls-eye on my back. If I stay home and take care of my wife and my kids, then I’m a loafer, not a good father. If I try to have a career, nobody thinks I am caring for my family. I can’t win.”

On rumors: “You’ll never see that guy they say cheats or goes partying all the time. If I’m there and I’m out at a club, I am there for a reason. I am not there to mingle with women. All that shit is done to me. I did that when I was 21.”

On his kids: “It’s completely unfair when a child is brought into this world an now he’s already looked at like a prince. My kids are going to have to learn what a real job is, what life is. You don’t have it easy with me. Period….My kids are going to work at Taco Bell, dammit.”

On his image: “I wish people would ask me about my career. Usually it’s, ‘How’s the wife and kids?’ Not that I mind; that’s my pride and joy. But it would be nice for people to look at me like an artist. The day they judge me as an artist, a CEO, as somebody, not Britney Spears’ husband, that’s the day I am looking forward to.”

On his media conspiracy theory: “The same day Dick Cheney shoots someone, they’ve got me on the cover of MSN [Web site]. It’s life they’re diverting attention from what’s really going on.”

Maybe it was a joke. Or perhaps Jennifer Aniston was having a dig at her ex-hubby, Brad Pitt and his new flame, Angelina Jolie.

Aniston was sitting at a press conference in Los Angeles to promote her new comedy, The Break-Up, when a reporter asked if she was interested in using her celebrity to tackle any of the world’s important issues.

Pitt and Jolie, in between giving birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel, have been vocal about Africa, AIDS and refugees.

So, was Aniston interested in any global issues? How about the war in Iraq or global warming?

“No,” Aniston replied. “I’m not interested in any of that.”

“I like to just focus on me and my tabloid career.”

Her deadpan answer, dripping with sarcasm, scored plenty of laughs.

Aniston went on to say she had plenty of interests, but opted not to reveal them at the press conference.

This poster girl of the tabloids does not give up too much about herself these days, something Australian journalists will learn when she arrives next week in Sydney to promote The Break-Up.

“I have a lot of other interests,” Aniston, 37, said defensively. “But, I don’t need to tell you all my interests, but there’s a lot.”

Michelle Rodriguez is not soo tough! The former Lost star was scheduled to serve a 60 day jail sentence for violating her probation. However, the truth is that she only served 4 1/2 hours in the slammer. EOnline reports:

Rodriguez, sentenced on May 22, turned herself into authorities last Thursday. She was arrested at 9 a.m., records show, and booked (under her given name, Mayte) at 10:34 a.m. At one minute before 1 p.m., she was assigned a “permanent housing” location. And at 27 minutes after 1 p.m., she was released.

Supposedly this has nothign to do with the fact that she is a star..and more to do with California’s Non-Violent offenders policy.
