it’s truly appalling the way britney spears has been basically crucified in the public forum. all of these “perfect” parents should try having people reporting on their every move and have strangers camped outside of their home every day just waiting, or i should say dying, to document and publicize every mistake you make. it’s one thing to criticize someones career choices but to make accusations and judgments pertaining to someone’s (especially someone you dont know) child or parenting skills is disgusting and in extreme poor taste. anyone who believes they haven’t made poor decisions in the lives of their children is dillusional and has bigger problems then this young girl who just had her first baby.
The same people would also let their children play at Michel Jackson’s house too.
I have to agree with anon 7:24. I am not a Britney fan, but I do feel bad that everyone says horrible things about her being a parent. Now her ugly clothes/hair/husband yeah sure I am all for ragging on that-but I do feel bad for her and her kid and all the media attention.
I also agree with anon 7:24. I am a Britney Fan, and I think anyone in her situation would have a hard time handling all of it. And, none of us really know her complete situation, as we only see and hear what is reported in the papers and online. So, it really makes it hard to know exactly what is going on with her and around her.
ditto, anon 7:24 and 7:51. what really pisses me off the most is the fact that so many of you are such haters…just so negative about everything and everyone. there really is something to be said about yourself when that is all that comes out of your mouth. that “energy” is really powerful and transends on so many different levels.
we’ve all become so incredibly fixated on the whole celebrity thing. hey, i understand that it helps to take us away from the “mediocrity” of our own lives, but maybe we need to focus a little less about what “they” are doing and perhaps reflect inward for a moment.
I also have to agree with anon 7:24, the poor girl is a first time mom and she’s trying to figure out how to balance all of that, plus her career, plus a new marriage, and not to mention all of the photographers just dying to get a picture of her messing up. If I was under that kind of pressure, I think I would just drop dead!
Oh please! The girl has a nanny,and her own family to help watch the baby, and yet she is not smart enough to know not to drive with a kid on her lap! There is no need to feel sorry for her – she is a horrible mother and everyone knows it! She never spends time with her own son! Just because she is a ‘celebrity’ does not mean it is ok for her to do the things she has done – You should feel sorry for the poor little baby!
Yes, sorry, but being young is no excuse for being an idiot when it comes to your baby. She has made bad choice after bad choice and she has an army of advisors and helpers. Britney had a baby for the wrong reasons..because she wanted to be a young mum, because she wanted to save her marriage, because it was the thing to do etc..but babies are a responsibility. She should be focusing ALL her energies on her child right now..not on “saving” her “career”, or partying with her husband or getting her face in the papers. She is not willing to put her child first and that is why I think she is a terrible mum. Her priorities are out of whack and her baby is suffering. You all can defend her until you are blue in the face, but my disdain for her has NOTHING to do with her lame music, her horrible fashion sense or her disgusting husband. It has to do with the way she treats her child like he is some sort of accessory or a burden to be shoved off on the nanny.
Ok, so, you really think, that the few pictures they show in the papers everyday, is what is happening the whole time. So, basically you are saying, she sits or stands in the same spot and doesn’t move. I find that highly unlikely. I don’t think we really know, everything that she is or isn’t doing with her son.
well, i have to agree, she’s made some really bad choices. i had all of my kids young, that’s no excuse. and as far as our “fixation” with celebrities and “negative energy”, if you’re so against celebrity watching then why are you on this website anyway?

dude, anon 9:27, you missed the point.. i just think that we all should be more aware of the negative things that come out of our mouths, think for a moment and then try to replace those feelings with loving ones is all i’m saying. when you’re putting negativity out into the universe, that is exactly what you’ll get in return…

Oh spare us the mystical blather. Making fun of a few celebrities, who lets face it deserve everything they get, is hardly filling the universe with negative energy.
And for the Britney supporters…when a nanny has to summon her and her husband because their child has fallen out of a high chair, then yes..I wonder how involved in his life they are. When they manage to party their way across the country and spend hours in a recording studio or doing “publicity” then yes…I question how much time they spend with their son. When the majority of pics I see of B and her son have him in the arms of someone else, I wonder how involved in his life she is. When she feels it’s appropriate to drive her vehicle on a busy road with her son in her lap then YES…I come to the conclusion that she is an idiot and puts her child in dangerous situations. If she’s so young that she can’t keep her child safe, then she should never have had one in the first place.
You reap what you sow. When a woman steals another pregnant woman’s man she will get all the negative energy she deserves. With all the media attention she gets, you would think she would get her act together. The best thing for her and the baby would be to let the nanny raise it.

A lot of celebrities have their parenting under a microscope by the media and no other has made as many poor decisions as britney.

Ok, I’m annonymous, because I don’t have a blogger account, I just never sighned up for one. Would it really matter, if I said, I was a britney supporter, and my name was Mandy or Sarah. I mean for real. While, I agree, that Britney has made poor choices with the baby and other aspects, I have to admit to myself, that my dd has fell off the bed before. Accidents happen, and regardless of what all of you “perfect parents, whose children never have accidents apparently” think, I believe, that while, it sucks, that Sean had to go thru that, now more than ever, Britney is watching her little boy. I’ve seen several reports of that today. As far as her choice in men, yeah, he doesn’t look that great, and obviously isn’t a standout hunk of a man, you can’t help who you fall in love with, even if no one else thinks he is great.
The last time I heard “you can’t help who you fall in love with” was when my husband cheated. lol. ur an idiot

You are all going on that she has nannies, family and a husband to help her. Well no one knows what that girl goes through when the cameras aren’t around. I can’t imagine that her loser husband being much of a help to her. He is too busy trying to launch his pathetic rap career.

There are plenty of young mothers out there who are not idiots like Brittany – everyone knows a child belongs in a car seat not on your lap while driving! Any decent parent would know if there kid was ok or not after falling out a high chair a few hours or a day later – not 6 days later! I do not think she even could feed her own son! Notice how the nanny was feeding him and had to ‘wake’ her and Kevin – how pathetic!
She does not deserve to have this baby and someone should take it from her – I mean child services has visted the house TWICE and the kid is only 7 months old!

I think anonymous is right! She knew what she was getting into! What people aren’t considering here is the fact that Britney is no different than the average Joe! She became famous too young and thus gave up her education and chance at a “normal” life. Just because she knew how to produce the baby doesn’t mean she has the intelligence (or more so maturity) to step out of her self absorbed self and look after that child. I don’t agree with pawning the kids off on Nanny’s like the celebrities do..but they don’t live “real lives” you know? Sean Preston is lucky that there is a Nanny in the picture and, as I said in my other post, I sure hope she was screened well and is a good candidate to be responsible for him as it seems all responsibility is on her shoulders.
Kevin is a washed up loser who is living off of her money. What’s another child? He knows he’ll never have to pay her child support right? And, on top, of it all..she is covering child support for Shar Jackson so he has no worries there! More babies the better for him!
What is sad is Sean Preston and the life he is leading and will lead. I don’t feel bad for Britney as she is a spawn of her own crisis…I don’t feel bad for Kfag because he is just an uneducated and washed up LOSER who needs to wrap it up…I feel bad for that child! No child deserves this much drama in such a short period of time.
I think everyone has a right to their own opinion but you have to think of this situation and write about it knowing that Britney is not going to be your friend for defending her! You can’t defend someone for the actions that are so obvious. We may not see what goes on behind closed doors but I think we can all know what goes on behind those doors by the actions and life she portrays to the media. There’s no covering a “mother” who isn’t 100% focused on her child.

it’s really interesting how so many commentors here today think they know so much about britney’s life. yeah no one denies that she’s done stupid things- the question is who hasn’t? we are all just lucky to live a life that is our own. yeah it comes with the territory of being famous, but the extent to which she is criticized and stalked by photogs is unlike any other celebrity. and whoever wrote that they never see sean in britney’s hand…are you kidding? every recent picture of the girl she has him in her arms. just try to think for a minute of the heartbreak of complete strangers questioning your family life. its wrong and no one deserves it. what does being anonymous have to do with anything?
I have 4 kids, and never once, has Children’s Services visited my home, or had a reason to. Babies don’t fall off bedsroutinely, or fracture their skulls due to loving attention from their parents, these things happen because of NEGLIGENCE. There’s no bones about it, even Whitney Houston’s done a better job raising her kid, and she’s a crack ho.
