April 18, 2006..the day that will go down in celebrity infamy. The day when the sun aligned itself in correct mathematical coordination with the home planet of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes…and a star was born…. a baby girl named Suri. (Hebrew for Princess or Red Rose). Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise welcomed baby girl Suri, at 3 am this morning. She weighed in at 7lbs 7 oz and 20 inches (slightly taller than her dad.) TomKat’s publicist says both baby and momma are doing fine. No word on whether Katie went through that whole silent birth crap…more to come as the deets = (details) become available… |

LOS ANGELES - The Tomkitten has arrived. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the high-profile pair dubbed “TomKat” by the media, had a baby girl Tuesday, said Cruise spokesman Arnold Robinson.
The baby, named Suri, weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches long, he said.
“Both mother and daughter are doing well,” Robinson said in a prepared statement.
The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose,” the statement said.
The baby was born in Los Angeles but the exact location was not disclosed.
It’s the first child for Holmes, 27, and the first biological offspring for Cruise, 43. Cruise has a daughter and son from his marriage to Nicole Kidman.
Details surrounding the birth, which was planned under the tenets of the Church of Scientology as a silent procedure, weren’t disclosed.

little known fact! suri is not even a word in hebrew so tom’s translator is a fucking idiot. the closest language to hebrew that it means something in is arabic, and it means a syrian man.
