HotMomma: EMERGENCY…
HotMomma is on a flight from Honolulu to Boston
The truth is my grandmother is dying. And I suppose we are all dying right..born to live to die. Some of us deserve to die and some don’t…she doesn’t. Ovarian cancer is taking away the grandmother who made magical toast, handmade birthday cards, and a woman who served God her entire life. It just doesn’t seem fair. I’m travelling half way across the world to say goodbye to someone, I’m not ready to say goodbye to yet. Do you know what that feels like? I can’t describe it either…

Hey lady- would’ve messaged you on the space but that site is down. I just wanted to let you know I’m very, very sorry. Losing my grandmother was the single most difficult moment of my life. It’s just not an easy thing. If you need to talk I’m here.

HotMamma,
We don’t now each other but I love your blog! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I lost my grandmother to breast cancer when she was only 49 (I was 11) and I know how awful it can be. Just know, you’ve got lots of people that will be there for support and love. Even if you don’t know them.
Take care,
April
HotMAMMA,
I happened to accidnetly end up on your blog but it has been the best thing ever. Now i check it everday religiously! I am sorry to hear about your grandmother and my thoughts and prayers are with you. My grandmother died from ovarian cancer also. My dad says till this day that was the hardest thing he has ever had to see in his life, especially since there is nothing you can do.
Take Care,
Kim
So sorry girl! I’ll be thinking of you and the family. Safe Travels!

HotMAMMA,
My stepmother just passed away after being in a coma for 7 years. She went in for a rountine surgery, and the hospital scerwed up and left us with nothing. I know what you are going through, as I was not ready to say goodbye, which seemed like something I had to do over & over until she was really ready to go.
My prayers are with you, your family, and your Grandmother…

There are no words to describe women like our grandmothers. My grandmother died at the age of 90 (didn’t act or look at day over 60). That was 8 years ago. I still ache sometimes to see her face to face. God is so good to give me such vivid dreams of her from time to time. Mostly, I delight in all of the warm moments she gave me. I can still hear her laughter, see the love for me in her eyes, and feel the tenderness in her hands as they held mine, or stroked my hair, or lovingly prepared meals for me when I spent the night (which was at least once a month).
Ohhh, the irreplacable love of a grandmother.
A TRUE blessing from God!
I will pray for your comfort.
