	2005 would not be complete without the absolute and inevitable legal demise of Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey (aka Nissica). Us Weekly is reporting that Jessica Simpson filed divorce papers today at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
The “Newlyweds” star cited, “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. Nick Lachey was in New York City at the time of filing. A source close to the Simpson clan says, “Jessica wanted to file so she can move on with her life. This marks the ~~downward spiral~~ next stage of her life.”
